The Hasselblad H4D – 60
I remember earlier writing about the most expensive DSLR, the Hasselblad 39 Megapixel – H3D II. Further to that, Hasselblad moves the notch northwards yet again with the 60 Megapixel H4D – 60. The sexiest feature of this cam is the huge sensor that it has in it, which is a Dalsa 60.1 Mpixels (8956 x 6708 pixels) sensor of the dimensions -
40.2 mm x 53.7 mm, which may sound better compared to an average SLR sensor size. To give you an example – the Nikon D90 has an image sensor size of 23.6 x 15.8mm. Now you get the drift. the average image size of the H4D – 60 is 80 megabytes ie, your 8 Gig memory card can hold 100 of those gigantore pics.
Detailed Specifications (Hasselblad Site)… Now the juicy part – the H4D – 60 costs a huge pocket burning, hole drilling, economy impacting $ 42,000 and comes with an 80mm lens.
Hasselblad Says
“The Medium Format Hasselblad H4D-60 camera, uses an extra large sensor with an impressive number of pixels, to support the shallow depth-of-field shooting that characterizes so much high-end shooting, and to provide the ultra-high resolution demanded by today’s most discerning professionals. The H4D-60 is the ultimate photographic tool for the serious commercial photographer demanding unsurpassed results.”
I am so sure, at 60 MP, even the model’s booger can be seen.. (disgusting example… but fits).
